Cheap sequin & tissue paper square storage from the Dollar Tree

Hey Guys! A lot has changed since my last post. I am now teaching Pre-Kindergarten. I love it so much, but I am also working on getting my degree at the same time.  It has been a lot of work and I have had so scale things back a bit.  I am hoping to get into the routine of blogging regularly because I have a lot of classroom things that I want to share!

For today, I wanted to share this amazing idea I got from an  Instagram account called The Purple Alphabet. She has fantastic You Tube videos on what to buy at the Dollar Tree! I could (and have) literally watch for hours.  So as a preschool teacher I am always on the hunt for cheap yet quality craft supplies.  I was so excited when I found tissue paper squares at my local Dollar Tree a few months back. The come 1500 per pack and there is actually a variety of colors.

 And the sequins, Dollar Tree is great at coming out with variety packs of sequins in super pretty color combos. I recently found a fall colored pack that is so pretty!

So Dollar Tree sells these amazing little organizers for $1 in the hardware department! The tissue paper squares fit perfectly and they are great for sequins too! They do not  move around when the lid is shut and they stack nicely! I am obsessed!

So there you have it, cheap craft supplies and storage all for a grand total of $5.  I usually pick up new sequins and tissue paper squares whenever I am in the Dollar Tree and just fill my box as needed.  They are so functional, the sides are even curved so it is super easy to take the sequins out for litle learning hands!

Dollar Tree Crayon boxes with a cute label to match

Hey guys! I just wanted to take a minute to share my newest little project! While browsing the Dollar Tree, for way to many classroom items than I am willing to admit, I ran across these adorable little snack boxes.

They are located in the food isle and come 2/$1 or if you are lucky and can find the BONUS packs 3/$1!!! Ummm....yes please you can do your whole class for cheap! AND they had lots of colors to choose from! I got orange, blue, green, pink and purple!! They hold 24 crayons like a dream and are super functional in my opinion! 

So I made a super cute label for them because while I loved them they were a tad too plain for my taste and now all my kids will know which crayon box is theirs. Seriously though we all know the main reason is because teachers like to label EVERYTHING! Ha! They are available now in my shop and I am having a sale through July 31! 

Sunday Scoop Linky {7.26.15}

Hey guys! Today I am linking up with Teaching Trio for my first Sunday Scoop!

3 things I HAVE to do today:

1.) Finish my BTS14 bundle {insert big crazy eye emoji} So last year I made this HUGE BTS bundle but never got it totally finished and uploaded to TPT. I mean this thing is like 100 something pages! I put it off and thought Ill finish it soon and then my computer broke!!!!! And I just got a new one and got everything transferred you know a few months ago! (basically I've put it off again!!!!!) This sucker is getting finished today!

 

 

2.)  Clean my house, it is a HOT mess....enough said!

3.)  Take pictures for my blog launch giveaway! Ooooh I am super excited to do this one! But only after I get done with the first two! Stay tuned this week for some super awesome giveaway items!!

2 things I HOPE to do today:

1.) Make it to the library before 5 to print off some things I need to get pics of to post onto TPT! We used to have staples but it recently went out of business...sad! Almost as sad as when our Target went out of business! So my only printing option is the library and they close at 5 today.

2.)  Finish a few TPT items. Remember the have to do BTS14 bundle?? There are others....shhhhh!

1 thing I am GLAD to do today:

1.) Prepare for my orientation tomorrow!!!!! EEEK I am SO excited to start my first official lead teacher job at a preschool and tomorrow is my orientation! I am so stoked you guys I can hardly focus on anything! #cantwaitisanunderstatement

Teaching Trio

SO....I'm not a very good blogger!

WOW! So I have been doing a lot more with my TPT here lately and it has brought attention to my poor excuse of a blog! Oh my I started this thing a year ago with full intentions of creating a successful blog and well life happened and here I am today! The good news is that I plan to start again! And I even have a blog designer picked out to spruce this thing up a bit...I mean look at this thing. It doesn't reflect my personality, the message I want to send to my followers or anything! So stick with me and I promise there are many changes to come :) Until then here are a few pics of a bulletin board I did for a summer preschool/parents day out program I am working at this summer! I just LOVE how it turned out!! The little kiddos are from Melonheadz bobbleheadz collection. I just enlarged them and changed the color of their clothing to match my theme! Follow my blog with Bloglovin Hello! So I've decided to jump on the blogging wagon! I am both excited and nervous at the same time! It is out of my comfort zone and unfamiliar to me so hopefully it all works out in the end. Not without some tears though I'm sure! I have a lot to learn. For example, notice my template?? Well it was free and the only one I could get to install correctly! It is not my style, doesn't match my logo, but hey it's better than the all white background. I plan to have someone design and install a template for me but I'm so indecsive on what I want and who to use? Do you have any good suggestions for me? I'd sure love to hear any advice from all you FAB teacher bloggers out there! And just for the record I tried to add a picture of what I'm working on currently (because let's be honest...who want's to read a boring ol' blog with no pictures? Right?) and it won't work- 3 times! So back to that advice thing...someone help please! Samantha
